Choose Your Brewing Method and Grind Your Beans

Explore a range of brewing techniques, including cold brew, French press, pour-over, auto-drip, espresso, and Turkish. Select the method that aligns with your taste preferences and the equipment you have available.

How to Grind Coffee Beans

For the best flavor, grind your coffee beans right before brewing. Choose an extra-coarse grind for cold brew, coarse for French press, medium-coarse for Chemex or pour-over, medium for drip coffee, fine for espresso, and extra fine for Turkish coffee. You can buy any grind size from our online store or grind whole beans yourself following the methods provided below.

Cold Brew

Cold brew is made using room temperature or cold water, resulting in a longer brew time. To avoid over-extracting your beans during this extended brewing period, it's recommended to use an extra-coarse grind.

Grind: Extra Coarse

Texture: Similar to coarsely cracked pepper

Coffee to Water Ratio: 1g of coffee for 10-12 ml of water

Brew Time: Cold brew is typically ready to drink after 12 hours. For concentrates of different strengths, the brewing time ranges from 24 to 48 hours.

French Press

French presses are equipped with a metal screen that separates coffee grounds from water. Due to the screen not being ultra-fine, it's advisable to use a slightly coarse grind to minimize grit in your coffee cup.

Chemex/Pour over

When using pour-overs like the Chemex coffee maker, it's important for the water to pass through the coffee grounds and into the carafe at an optimal pace. A medium grind is ideal for achieving this balanced flow rate.
