Everything You Need to Know

Questions about our coffee, roasting process, wholesale programs, or shipping? We have answers.

Freshness & Roasting

Each coffee is roasted in small, carefully controlled batches to highlight its unique origin, sweetness, and complexity. We roast with freshness in mind, ensuring every order reflects the standards of a truly premium coffee company.

Our coffee is at its finest within 30 days of roasting, when its aroma and flavor are most expressive. Proper storage in an airtight container away from heat, light, and moisture will help preserve its quality. For the most exceptional cup, we recommend grinding only what you need, just before brewing.

We recommend against daily freezing and thawing, which introduces moisture and degrades flavor. Instead, store your coffee in a cool, dry place in an airtight container away from direct sunlight. If storing for longer than a month, a single deep-freeze in an airtight bag can preserve quality — but avoid repeated temperature changes.

Certifications & Sourcing

Yes. Every bag of Nu Coffee carries the USDA Organic certification, meaning it is grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers. Our Sidama farm operates under strict organic standards from cultivation through processing and packaging.

Fair Trade certification ensures our farmers receive a guaranteed minimum price for their coffee — protecting them from market volatility and enabling investment in their communities. When you buy Nu Coffee, you are directly supporting the farmers and families who grow it.

Nu Coffee is grown in Sidama, southern Ethiopia — one of the world's most celebrated coffee-growing regions. Our farm sits at 1,500–2,200 meters above sea level, where the volcanic soil, ideal rainfall, and cool temperatures create the conditions for exceptional specialty coffee.
